PORTAGE / MADISON - Barbara “Lynn” (Reda) Gladem, 76, of Portage Wis., passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with health issues. With steadfast faith and enduring strength, she entrusted herself to the Lord and is now at rest in His eternal embrace.
Lynn was proud of her rich Italian and Irish heritage, traditions that shaped her deep love of family and faith. She graduated from East High School in 1967 and soon after married Larry Gladem. Together they were blessed with two daughters, Tanya Collins (Gladem) and Becky Gladem, who remained the greatest joys and blessings of her life.
Throughout life’s trials and triumphs, Lynn leaned on her faith for strength. Even in difficult times, she carried herself with resilience and grace, trusting that God had a plan greater than her own. She created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and welcome. Family vacations, holiday gatherings, and time spent together became treasured memories for all who shared them. Lynn had a tender heart for God’s creatures, especially cats. She would take in strays, giving them love and care, reflecting the compassion she showed to everyone around her.
Lynn leaves behind her loving daughters, Tanya Collins (Gladem) and Becky Gladem; her four cherished grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, who were her pride and joy; her brothers, Richard Reda and Joseph Reda III; her sister, Susan Reda; and many nieces and nephews. Her love and faith will continue to guide them. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Pearl Reda; her grandparents; and her aunts and uncles.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Agrace HospiceCare for the support Lynn received during this difficult time. A private burial ceremony will be held for the family. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
