Bonnie Mae Myren

Bonnie Myren, age 94, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Charter Senior Living - Madison. She was born on January 22, 1932, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Francis and Gertrude Zink.

Bonnie grew up on a farm on Milwaukee Street and graduated from Madison East High School. She spent five years living in Pennsylvania, a time she deeply enjoyed, and it was there that she met her lifelong friend, Frances Henne. On September 6, 1952, Bonnie married Floyd Myren in Madison. Together they built a home on Lien Road in Madison, where they lived for many years before moving to their lake house on Butternut Lake in Park Falls, a place Bonnie truly cherished. Later, they made their home in Marshall.

Bonnie found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved birds, gardening, flowers, cross-stitch, crocheting, and coloring. A gifted and talented musician, she played the violin, piano, organ, and harmonica, and she also enjoyed singing. Above all, family was the center of Bonnie’s life, and she treasured time spent together at family gatherings.

Bonnie is survived by her sons, Michael Myren, Dale Myren, David (Debbie) Myren and Philip (Christi) Myren; eleven grandchildren, Jason, Kevin, Matt, Christopher, Amanda, Sam, Megan, Isabelle, Jordan, Kaitlin, and Angel; her sister, Betty Wells; many great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd Myren; her daughter-in-law, Dorothy Myren; her sister, Eva (Bob) Brandon; and her brother-in-law, Jerry Wells.

A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
