STOUGHTON - Carol Marie Nowack, age 91, of Stoughton, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Milestone Senior Living in Stoughton. She was born on November 5, 1934, in Algonquin, Ill., the daughter of Arnold and Ruth (Muska) Dehmlow.
Carol was a devoted member of Holy Cross Lutheran and Zion Lutheran Church, faithfully serving in the Ladies’ Aid. She found joy in sewing, knitting, crocheting and bowling. Although she loved being out on the boat, she was never fond of the water. Carol loved helping people and extended support whenever she could. She had a special place in her heart for dogs and cherished the three dachshunds she lovingly named Scooter I, II and III.
Carol is survived by her husband, Rinold; daughter, Gale Schumacher; son, Donald Nowack; and granddaughters, Erica, Nichole, Elizabeth and Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Ruth; brothers, Butch, Dennis and Curt; and sister, Marlene.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1358 Highway 51 N. at Jackson St., Stoughton, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. Burial will take place at Windridge Memorial Park and Nature Sanctuary.
