We had good times together in Muscatine, Iowa.

Duane was my neighbor for eight years. He was such an intelligent, kind person. One of his talents was woodworking. He made me a cutting board, that was too beautiful to use, so it hangs in my kitchen. I cherish it.

Duane was an exemplary brother in law, and an intellectual comrade. I will miss the interesting conversations we had about world affairs. America needs more citizens of Duane's character. . William F. Kerschner
