Obituary
ALBANY - Ariane Daniels, age 62, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026. She was born on May 17, 1963, in Phoenix, Ariz., the daughter of Robert and Beverly (Tipsord) Daniels. They moved to Madison, Wis., while Ariane was young and she continued to call Wisconsin home for most of her life.
A graduate of James Madison Memorial High School, Ariane made a career at the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development as an Insolvency Specialist. After 24 devoted years, Ariane retired from the State in 2021. From there, Ariane fulfilled a lifelong dream of living the nomadic lifestyle while traveling the U.S. with her camper for two years. After her ultimate adventure, she settled back down in Albany, Wis.
Ariane’s home, lovingly referred to as ‘The Farm’ by all who knew her, was her pride and joy. Ariane found joy in nurturing life and providing a safe haven for any person or animal who needed a safe place to stay. Ariane also had a passion for plants. She would often be found caring for others’ plants when visiting their homes and was known to gift plants to any who asked. She also worked seasonally at Deerfield Greenhouse.
Ariane is remembered for her warmth, kindness, and laughter. She also never shied away from bragging about her grandbabies any chance she got. Ariane is survived by her daughter, Sascha (Joseph) Dragoo; two grandchildren, Gwendalynn Dragoo and Ambrose Dragoo; and many beloved, dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Beverly.
A celebration of life for Ariane will be held at SEMINARY SPRINGS TAVERN, 3191 Seminary Springs Road, Sun Prairie, Wis., from 1:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026. Feel free to bring photos and stories to share as we remember the adventures of life with Ariane.
