MADISON - David Patrick Gillette, age 59, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026. He was born on December 17, 1966, in Madison, the son of Gary and Ruth (Benisch) Gillette.
Dave grew up on the east side of Madison and attended La Follette High School. He married DuAnna "Dewy" Rowe on February 14, 1995, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dave worked as a subcontractor for many years with Floor 360.
Dave enjoyed going to concerts and watching the Brewers -especially traveling to their fantasy camp in Arizona with Dewy.
Dave is survived by his wife of 30 years, Dewy; mother, Ruth Gillette; sister, Cathy (Greg) Lieck; parents-in-law, Roger and Virginia Rowe; brothers-in-law, Steve (Annie) Rowe and Mike (Christine) Rowe; sister-in-law, Becky (Tim Hoelzel) Wagner; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary; and his beloved son, Christopher Gillette.
A celebration of life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2026, with close friend Father David Timmerman presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday.
