Obituary

MIDDLETON - Jamie Lee Guerrero, 53, of Middleton passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, after battling cancer with courage and strength. He was born on August 26, 1972, in Green Bay to Jesus and Patricia Guerrero.

Jamie graduated from Middleton High School in 1990 and went on to live and work in his beloved hometown. Through his passionate engagement in sports, especially baseball - playing, coaching, mentoring, volunteering, supporting - Jamie touched the lives of generations of families and was a much loved and upstanding pillar of the community.

At his core, Jamie was a family man. He married Stacy Schutz in 2000 and together they raised two children, Jacob and Jackson, in a home filled with friendship, support, laughter, and love. Jamie was a proud parent and his devotion to his sons was evident in his active involvement in their lives. From coaching their sports teams and cheering them on from the sidelines to guiding them through the ups and downs of life, Jamie was right there believing in the boys’ limitless potential, motivating them to learn and grow, and teaching them the value of hard work and perseverance.

As reflected in his everyday actions, Jamie lived into his deeply held values of kindness and love. He was the first to show up for people, generously sharing his skills and talent wherever they were needed. Known for being one-of-a-kind with his infectious laugh, bright smile, and positive attitude, Jamie offered inspiration to others right up to his last day.

Jamie is survived by his wife, Stacy (Schutz) Guerrero, and their sons, Jacob and Jackson Guerrero; his parents, Jesus and Patricia (St. Louis) Guerrero, and in-laws, Gene and Agnes Schutz; his siblings, Lisa Guerrero (Matt Harpster) and Jason Guerrero (Jen Catellier); and many extended family members and close friends.

A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026. Kids are welcome at the visitation and are invited to wear their favorite Cardinals or other sports attire in honor of Jamie, Middleton’s #1 sports fan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be greatly appreciated. Special thanks to the staff and doctors at UW Carbone Cancer Center for sharing their expertise and for providing ongoing guidance and compassionate care.

Pedro You will be missed. I enjoyed coaching against you while you were playing for Middleton Home Talent. We always had very competitive games. When the game was over we always were able to sit down and have a beverage and chat about the game or life in general. My deepest sympathy to the Guerrero Family Kent Adler Waunakee Home Talent

Dear Guerrero family, we are so sorry to hear about Jamie. We met him at a Middleton girls game several years ago. We are Rowans grandparents and we know Jackson thru her. Jackson is such a nice young man and we are sure he is so nice because of his parents. We know you are so proud of both your sons and we know they loved their parents. We will never understand why God calls people at such a young age but rest assured Jamie will be loved by Him. Our deepest sympathies and prayers as you grieve the loss. God Bless Kris & Jeff Borne.
