Obituary

JUNEAU - Raymond J. Jakubek, age 61, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at SSM Health - St. Mary's Hospital in Madison after a brief illness. He was born on August 3, 1964, in Evergreen Park, Ill., the son of the late Raymond and Pamela (Norkus) Jakubek.


After graduating from Reavis High School, Burbank, Ill., Ray began working with Lexington Steel Company. He then joined John Deere in the Beaver Dam area, where he worked until his illness. Ray loved being outdoors fishing and hiking and was an avid fan of his Chicago teams including the Cubs, Blackhawks, Bears and Bulls.


Ray is survived by his sister, Katherine (Jim) Iazzetto; his nieces, Kristina (Nick) Barounis and Julie "Anna" Iazzetto; and many friends.
