Obituary
Garth L. "Yog" Scheel, age 68, of Mount Horeb, passed away tragically on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Upland Hills Health Hospital. He was born on November 15, 1957, in Portage, Wis., the son of Kenneth and Charlotte (Haynes) Scheel.
Garth graduated from Mount Horeb High School. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a laborer in the construction industry.
Garth was an incredibly generous and sociable person. He was an avid Packer and Badgers fan, and he enjoyed camping. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Garth is survived by his children, Sabrina Scheel, Dustin (Becky Scipior) Scheel, Travis (Cassie Krauss) Scheel and Taylor (Tara) Scheel; grandchildren, Jayden Kahl, Adison Moen, Easton Scheel, Asher Parish, Atticus Parish, Ethan Parish, Olivia Conway, Charlotte Conway, Eloise Scheel and Thomas Wilke; stepdaughter, Aundria Johnson; brother, Carey "Red" Scheel; sister, Denise (Ken) Burkhardt; nieces, Jessi (Mike) and Nikki (Luke); great niece, Abby; great nephew, Miles; cousins; and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlotte and Kenneth.
