STOUGHTON - Randy Von Allmen, age 65, of Stoughton, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025. He was born on January 29, 1960, in Milwaukee, the son of Robert and Irene (Massey) Von Allmen.
Randy graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1978 and spent 15 years working for Stoughton Trailers. He loved riding his Harley’s and cherished every moment with his family, particularly his grandchildren. He had a soft spot for his dogs, who were always by his side, and he loved taking trips up to Mercer, Wisconsin, a place that brought him a special kind of peace. Randy’s personality was truly larger than life - full of humor, warmth, and an energy that filled every room he walked into. Known for his quick wit and his gift for connecting with anyone he met; Randy truly never knew a stranger.
Randy is survived by the love of his life, Cheri Sherman; son, Shane (Megan) Von Allmen; daughter, Ariel (Kameron) Von Allmen Lee; step daughter, Nicole (Richard Schmid) Francis; step son, Joshua (Nichole Van Hulst) Francis; grandchildren, Henrietta, Anders, Daphne and Winifred Von Allmen, Brooks Von Allmen Way, Crew Von Allmen Lee and one more on the way; step granddaughters, Evelyn Van Hulst and Ava Schmid; brother, Ronny (Lisa Jo) Von Allmen; niece, Amelia Von Allmen; and mother of his children, Linda Von Allmen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Irene.
A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 12 noon on Friday, December 19, 2025, with the Rev. Elisa Brandt presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. A celebration of life will follow at UTICA BAR, 2167 County Road W, Cambridge, at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
