Obituary
BARABOO - Pamela Sue Kokesh, age 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 10, 2026, to be with her loving husband Jerry. Born on October 17, 1941, Pamela was the beloved daughter of the late John and Doreen Farnsworth.
A proud 1959 graduate of DeForest High School, Pamela furthered her education by obtaining an associate degree in Nursing from Madison Area Technical College. She married Gerald A. Kokesh on September 15, 1962, in Lodi, and together they built a life “in the country” anchored in love, family, and caring for others.
Pamela dedicated her career to nursing, beginning her working career with Central Colony of Madison before joining Home Health United as a private practical nurse with unwavering compassion. Her caring and comforting spirit extended beyond her vocation; she made an impact in her community, serving as an active Girl Scout Leader and later gifted her time supporting the Baraboo School District, inspiring countless young lives.
Her passions included sewing, quilting, and reading—activities that not only brought her joy but also enriched the lives of those around her. She will always be known for her baking and teaching her secrets in the kitchen. Above all, Pamela cherished time spent with her family, creating lasting memories that her loved ones will forever hold dear.

She is also survived by her two sisters-in-law, Diane (Dean) Slark and Donna Horton; three brothers-in-law, Robert (Bonnie) Kokesh, Kenneth (Nancy) Kokesh, and David (Michelle) Horton; along with numerous other relatives and dear friends.
Pamela was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald A. Kokesh; her parents; her sister, Linda Byers; son-in-law, Brian Evers; and her grandson, Christian Llames.
