Obituary
MADISON - Thomas J. Sperry, age 88, of Madison, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at SSM Health-St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on December 11, 1936, in Dane County, Wis., the son of Jerome and Golda (Stocks) Sperry.
Thomas graduated from Central High School and he lived across the street from Patricia Marick for many years. Tom had been previously married, but had remained single for many years. Tom worked evenings at Chief’s Bar and Pat worked the night shift as a nurse. They were united in marriage on March 26, 2007, in Madison.
Thomas worked as a construction worker in various places over the years. He liked to travel and especially enjoyed his trips to Hawaii and St. Louis. At home, he enjoyed watching westerns and sports on television.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Teresa, Rhonda, Becky and Brian; sisters, Gina Stine, Marge Edwards, Cheryl (Harald) Rupp and Connie (Sonny) Hill; brothers, Bill Sperry, Steve (Jung) Sperry, David (Barb) Sperry and Rick (Mary) Sperry; sister-in-law, Sherry Sperry; and step-daughter, Michelle (Johnny Montes) Kruel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Golda; brother, Leonard; and sisters, Mary and Patricia.
