Helen/ Mom was The Most Grateful person I have known. Even as her body failed, she remained Thankful,Kind and humerus with me while helping in her cargiving. In 5 years, she only " fired me " once😅. I will miss her so very much!!

Helen was like a second Mother to me. I spent a LOT of time at the Martin household through the years. My favorite memory is when I was sitting in the den watching the Packers play and Helen handed me a bottle of wine and asked me to open it. I popped the cork and it exploded. I was drenched with wine and it shot up and hit the ceiling too. For years after that, every time I came into the house, I would look at the ceiling and there was the wine stain. I would smile remembering that day, and we would laugh about it all over again. Helen, you will be missed. Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

Whenever I saw Helen, or gramma Helen as I called her at the annual Memorial Day picnic at Bobbie and Debs, she always had a big hug for me. She was such a sweet lady. Maybe her and Ma Ruth are baking cookies and frying up donuts. Heaven is going to be smelling delicious. We will miss you Helen

I worked with Helen for many years at Swiss Colony, she was a delight to be with! I always kidded her she couldn't retire, lol I remember giving her the DVD or maybe VHS of Christmas Vacation and at that time said it was her favorite movie! My sympathy goes out to her family and so lucky to have a mom like her. Alvina O'Malley
