Obituary

MADISON - Margaret Jane “Peggy” Sullivan, age 96, of Madison, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Heritage Monona. She was born on May 10, 1929, in Madison, the youngest of eight daughters born to Samuel and Evelyn (Kronborg) Morrell.

Peggy graduated from Central High School.  She was united in marriage to Arthur Sullivan on November 1, 1947, in Madison, Wis. Together they were blessed with two sons, Joe and Jim, providing a warm and loving home for them. While Art worked the night shift, Peggy often took her boys on little adventures-visiting the fountain at Oscar Mayer to watch the light colors change, then getting popcorn and also going to the car races in Sun Prairie in the summer, while in the winter she took them skating and tobogganing. Peggy and Art loved to bowl together and treasured the special trip they took to Hawaii.

An accomplished Euchre player, Peggy continued to enjoy card games well into her 90s. She was well liked by everyone who knew her and she will be fondly remembered for caring deeply for others and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Peggy is survived by her sons, Joe and Jim (LaDene) Sullivan; grandsons, Bret (Angela) Sullivan, Kyle (Jera) Sullivan and Kiefer (Leann) Sullivan; and great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Annabelle and Preston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; parents, Samuel and Evelyn; sisters, Genevieve Anderson, Mary Nordness, Dorothy Gorst, Jeanette Fritz, Alice Bynum, Elizabeth “Betty” Butler and Donna Fritz; and daughter-in-law, Alison Wolf.

She will be buried at Roselawn Memorial Park.

I got the honor of doing your mom's hair while she lived at heritage . She was one of a kind ! The sweetest ! She was always dressed so beautiful (and always had on red lipstick ) I know her family was her greatest joy as she would talk about them all the time ! And she would always talk about her holiday get togethers with Chinese food 😊I will miss her dearly but I will have her in my heart . Love Lori
