Obituary
MCFARLAND - Hermina Helen Ziegler, age 92, of McFarland, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at McFarland Villa Assisted Living. She was born on April 2, 1933, in Madison, the daughter of Ferdinand and Elizabeth (Ripp) Maier.
Hermina married Jerome Ziegler on November 16, 1954. She was employed at Madison General Hospital for many years as a supervisor in the housekeeping department. Hermina cleaned homes part-time for many different people while working and also after retirement.
Hermina loved to garden, and her pets had a special place in her heart - from her cats to the squirrels and birds out in her garden. She enjoyed hosting people, and she always had coffee and cookies to offer for whoever visited.
Hermina is survived by her sister-in-law, Beverly Maier; many nieces, nephews and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Ziegler who passed away in 1999; parents, Elizabeth and Ferdinand; brothers, Eddie (Mildred) Maier, George (Dorella) Maier, Werner (Catherine) Maier, Nick (Mabel) Maier, Leonard (Margaret) Maier, Art (Sally) Maier, Herman (Rita) Maier, Alfred Maier, Urban (Darlene) Maier and Harry (Shirley) Maier; and sister, Marian (Alvin) Ziegler.
A funeral service will be held at CHRIST THE KING CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5306 Main St., McFarland, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Thursday. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens at a later date.
