LODI - Louise Bender, age 100, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Dove Healthcare.She was born on February 22, 1925, in Papenhausen, Germany, the daughter of Karl and Marie Rippe.
She married Edward Bender on April 16th, 1948, in Germany. He preceded her in death in 1971.
Louise and Ed owned and operated Bender's Family Shoe Store in Lodi before retiring.
Louise is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Jeffery) Browning; her son, Juergen (Erna) Bender; four grandchildren, Talia Shields, Nicole (Scott) Albrecht, Trace Browning, and Chance (Hannah) Browning; three great-grandchildren, August Shields, Terin Olson, and Bryce Albrecht; and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
