Obituary
MONONA - Thomas W. Noyce, age 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 27, 2025, at UW Hospital, with his beloved daughter by his side, following a brief and sudden illness. Tom was born on October 31, 1950, in Madison, Wis., to James and Charlotte (Wentworth) Noyce. Diagnosed with polio at the age of four, he never allowed his disability to stand in the way of living a full and meaningful life.
Tom was a skilled mechanic who specialized in small engine repairs and had a deep passion for working with his hands. He had a particular love for Ford Model T cars and enjoyed remodeling vintage vehicles. One of his favorite traditions was attending the annual car show in Iola.
In his spare time, Tom pursued a variety of hands-on hobbies, including woodworking, knitting and other creative projects. In his later years, he found great joy in spending time with friends at Frost Woods Senior Apartments, especially playing Wii Bowling.
Thomas is survived by his daughter, Paula (Daniel) Noyce-Rung; son, Christopher Noyce; sister, Sharon (Ken) Sager; brother, Timothy (Melissa) Noyce; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Alan Noyce and Jerry Noyce.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025. Burial will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
