Paul Steven Schoepp

CROSS PLAINS - Paul Steven Schoepp, age 85, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones. He was born to Leo and Martha Schoepp and lived and worked in Cross Plains. On April 8, 1967, Paul married Joyce Festge, the daughter of Reuben and Anita (Pollow) Festge.

Paul served his country in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1965. He spent 40 years working as an auto body specialist at Highway Service in Cross Plains. Then in 1982, he started his own business “Schoepp Auto Body.” He retired in 2000.  

Paul loved hunting and fishing and they took many trips to Canada fishing.  

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Joyce; brothers, David (Shirley) Schoepp and Linus (Donna) Schoepp; in-laws, Gary (Marilyn) Festge; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Martha Schoepp; and sister, Levina “Toots” Schoepp.

A celebration of life will be held at GUNDERSON CROSS PLAINS FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 2421 Church St., Cross Plains, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026. A private family service will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
