Mark Anthony Calabrese

MADISON - Mark Anthony Calabrese, age 67, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026. He was born on April 27, 1958, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the son of John and Shirley (Larkin) Calabrese.

Mark was known throughout his life as a hardworking and dependable man. He proudly served in the U.S. Marines, maintaining fuel sites. Mark drove a semi for over 20 years and took pride in his work as a heavy equipment operator. He was employed by Jacobus Energy and later Flyers Energy until his retirement.

Mark loved riding his Harley with friends, golfing and biking. He was an avid reader and enjoyed taking long walks. Some of his favorite memories were traveling with his brother, John, throughout the United States, including trips to Scottsdale, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Florida and Chicago.

Mark  is survived by his brothers, John (Maureen) Calabrese, Robert Calabrese and Kevin Calabrese; sister, Ginny (Craig) Richardson; brother-in-law, Ken Kimport; nephews, Joseph Calabrese and Weston Richardson; nieces, Andrea Calabrese and Jenna Richardson; great-nieces, Chalice Calabrese, Brooklyn Griswold, Lillian Legler and Samantha Mielke; great-nephews, Greg Bray Jr. and Zahay Calabrese; and uncle, George (Therese) Calabrese. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Shirley; sister, Elaine Kimport; and nephew, Vincent Calabrese.

A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 4 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. Burial will take place at Blooming Grove Cemetery at a later date.
