Mr. Prieve has been my BEST soccer coach throughout my career, from 5 years old, to college and beyond. He took a group of FRESHMAN HS girls who were emotional, crazy hormonal, absolutely ridiculous, and rebellious, and somehow calmly coached us; he was kind, understanding, and compassionate when we needed it most. I have never forgotten his patience, empathy, and true love for his players and the game. My heart breaks for your loss and this world's true void of an amazing man.

We have known Jim and Audrey for 38 yrs as we met them when we were at UW for grad school in the 80's. Jim was our "go to fix it guy" anytime our old car was on its last legs as Jim could fix just about anything. He came and picked us up one night during a snowstorm on our way to Lodi as the battery decided not to start the car up. He even introduced our daughter to the joy of riding lawn mowers before she turned 1 yr old. He also tried to get her to love soccer, but as it turned out, she developed a taste for another Wisconsin sport, figure skating, and Jim teased us and our daughter for years about what that would cost. "Soccer" he reiterated, over and over and over again. Little did we all know that teasing led to a trip to the Olympics, but not in soccer, and Jim finally came around and forgave her. Fond memories of visits, introducing toddlers to spaghetti and tomato sauce, board games, and a friendship that has grown over the years. We will miss your sage advice, a chuckle thrown in for good measure and that twinkle in your eye, Jim. Rest in Peace. All our love...Jody and Jim Flatt, Rachael Flatt and Eric Iwashita
