MADISON / SUN PRAIRIE - Sue (Biele) Simono of Sun Prairie, Wis., passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Sue was born August 20, 1940, in Chanute, Kan., to Dale and Rosemary (Cooper) Biele. Sue attended grade school, middle school, and high school in Chanute, graduating with the class of 1958. Sue was active in sports, cheerleading, and the Chanute Drum & Bugle Corp. Sue was originally married to Jim Fowler, and together they raised two children, Dee Anne and Todd. Sue was later united in marriage to Jerry Simono on March 03, 1990.
Sue enjoyed everything outdoors, walking, swimming, golfing, the fellowship of meeting new people, and especially the frequent walks with her dogs. Sue was warm and caring and everyone she met became a new friend.
Sue worked for several years in the Madison School System. She eventually joined American Family Insurance, where she spent her years as a policy technician. She was the favorite contact for American Family Insurance Agents who worked in local communities throughout the state of Wisconsin.
Sue is survived by one sister, Janie (Bill) Yeamans, of Olathe, Kan.; and two nephews, Chad and Jered Steen of Kansas. She is also survived by her son, Todd Fowler of McFarland; by a step-son, Charles Simono of Waupaca; two step-daughters, Suzette Simoneau (friend Ted) of Fall River and Brigette (Matt) Chizek of Baraboo. In addition, Sue is survived by one granddaughter, Halie (T.J. Houghton) Fowler; two step-grandsons, Hunter and Bridger; and two step-granddaughters, Taylor and Maddie; and great-granddaughter, Willow. Sue was preceded in death by her mother, Rosemary; her father, Dale Biele; the father of her children, Jim Fowler; her daughter, Dee Anne and her husband, Jerry Simono.
