MADISON / LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Joseph Glenn King, age 71, of Madison, Wis., passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at home. He was born on November 17, 1953, in Las Vegas, Nev., the son of Joseph King and Mae (Smith) King.
Joseph graduated from Western High in Las Vegas in 1971. While attending University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) he was a proud member of Signa Nu fraternity. Joseph was united in marriage to Robin Jackson on Feb 3, 1989, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Joseph was dedicated to his work in the grocery industry at Albertson’s for over 40 years. He was an active sports enthusiastic. He was a fan who cheered on the Green Bay Packers, the Los Angeles Lakers and the New York Yankees. He was also a participant, taking pride in his work as a referee for the city of St. George, Utah and as a volunteer coach for his kids’ soccer teams. He cherished the time he spent with his family and especially loved playing chess with his grandchildren. He wouldn’t pass up the chance to enjoy a Slurpee from Speedway or brats! Joseph was genuinely kind and friendly. He was a loyal and caring friend to many, and he especially valued his friendships with Gary, Steve, Darnell, Mike, Lou, Guy, Bruce and Eric.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Robin; mother, Mae; daughters, Stephanie Marie-Ellen (Jesse) Larson, Rhianna Kay (Billy) Daws and Tara Jo Cassidy King; son, Brandon Joseph (Amber) Hendry; grandchildren, Skylar Marie, Rayne, Tryston, Levi, Zaiden, Blaze, Brielle, Alexis and Waylon; sisters; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Emil King; brother, Steve King; nephew, Steve King; and his beloved dog, Roxy.
A celebration of life will be held in spring 2026 in Las Vegas, Nev.
