CROSS PLAINS - Robert Alan “Bob” Bosman, age 73, of Cross Plains, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Milestone Senior Living. He was born on September 2, 1952, in Madison, Wis., to Earl and Jean (Wolferman) Bosman. Bob graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1970 and graduated from UW-Platteville with a degree in Industrial Technology.
Bob worked in manufacturing in Milwaukee before returning to Madison for the majority of his career. He worked at W.T. Rogers, Newell Rubbermaid, and Eldon which all manufactured office supplies. In high school, he was involved in the church youth group that took service trips out west. He also took trips out west in college as part of a geology group. He was on the “Melcher Trucking Company” basketball team in college. He enjoyed time at his parents’ cottage in Harmony Grove, and eventually bought his own home there. Bob enjoyed watching the Badgers, Brewers, Packers, and Bucks, but only live on TV.
For many years, Bob enjoyed volunteering with his dad with the Madison East Kiwanis, where they participated in Meals On Wheels, adopt-a-highway, Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center meals, and projects with the Key Club. He was also involved in projects at the Dean House in Monona.
Bob is survived by his sister, Susan, and her husband, Leonard Schaub. He is further survived by nephews, Kevin (Laura) Schaub and their children, Olivia, Lily, Audrey and Nathan; and Christopher (Jennifer) Schaub and their children, Liam, Autumn, Makaylee and Avery. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to thank the staff of Milestone Senior living for their care of Bob these last three years.
A burial service will be held in the chapel at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK, 401 Femrite Drive, Madison, at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025.
