Obituary
MARSHALL - Carol Jean Frasier, age 84, of Marshall, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at UW Hospital and Clinics, with her family by her side. She was born on March 20, 1941, in Austin, Minn., the daughter of Karl and Margaret (Hopfe) Fletcher.
Carol graduated from Mount St. Mary's High School in 1960. She took various different career paths, from office work, real estate agent, to an airline attendant until she found her passion as the restaurant and bar manager for LaFonda’s in Minnesota where she worked on and off for over 15 years before moving to Arizona.
Carol’s greatest passion was people. She loved connecting with others and built life-long friendships, especially during her years managing LaFonda’s. However, she did not like winters in Minnesota and made the decision to move to Arizona before then moving back up to Wisconsin. But Carol especially enjoyed her Minnesota, Arizona and Wisconsin family and the friendships she made in her apartment complex in Wisconsin, where her neighbors cared for her and watched over her often.
Carol also adored dogs, loving them like her children and filling her life with their compassion and joy.
Carol is survived by her children, Yvette (Dave) Kalish and Caron (John) Coddington; furry child, Simon; grandchildren, Dawson Kalish and Brooke Frasier; furry grandchildren, Max, Denver and Shadow; nieces, Yvette (John) and Vicki (Charlie); and many more important family and friends in her life, Sandra, Susie (Ron), Saul (Jackie), Sam Freeberg, Arlen and many more that are too many to list. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Karl; and siblings, MaryAnn Corbin, Thomas Fletcher, Jerry Fletcher and John Fletcher.
Memorials may be made to Dane County Humane Society.
