POYNETTE - Bonita M. Prucha, age 77, of Poynette, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on August 30, 2025.
Bonita was born on May 8, 1948, to Bonard and Dorotha Leatherberry. She graduated from Lodi High School in 1966 and married Harold Prucha on May 18, 1968.
She worked as a manager at Subway for many years before retiring to spend time with her grandchildren. Bonita was known for her kindness and the incredible love she poured into her family. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures - baking everyone’s favorite holiday goodies, planting flowers each spring, and watching the birds from her porch swing. She loved thrifting to add to her many collections and finding the perfect piece of vintage furniture to refinish.
Bonita was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her parents, Bonard and Dorotha; her sister, Bonnie Jean; brothers-in-law, Jeff, Robert, Richard (Betty), and Art; and sisters-in-law, Diane and Evelyn.
She is survived by her beloved children, Gary (Stacy), Craig (Ginger), and Kristen (Josh); her cherished grandchildren, Maysn, Ramsay, Owen, and Austin; and her siblings, Gary (Lucy), Gale (Ron), and Lori.
Services will be held at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 258 Lodi St., Lodi, WI on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until noon, followed by a service at 12:00 p.m. and a luncheon afterward.
