Donald Glenn Blatterman

OREGON - Donald G. Blatterman, age 78, of Oregon, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital. He was born on July 3, 1947, in Madison, Wis., the son of Glenn and Lois (Killerlain) Blatterman.

Donald graduated from Oregon High School in 1965. He married Rhoda (Foley) Blatterman on September 9, 1967, in Oregon. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and worked as an auto mechanic for Thorstad Chevrolet for many years.

Donald enjoyed spending time with his family and socializing with friends. He worked on the family farm for many years, raising cows and steers. Don had a fondness for deer hunting and fishing in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Don and Rhoda loved going out to dinner and spending quality time with each other.

Donald is survived by his wife, Rhoda; daughter-in-law, Anna Blatterman; grandchildren, Ryan (Meghan) Blatterman, Jenna (Nick) Dunwald, Melanie (Tristin) Heisig and Alesha (Hunter Newton) Blatterman; great-grandchildren, Payton and Liam Blatterman; sister, Janice (Gene) Schulz; nephew, Jason (Molly Liska) Schulz; nieces, Heather Carow and Mellissa Haak; and grand-nephews, Kayden and Carter Schulz. He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Blatterman; mother, Lois Blatterman; son, Dean Blatterman; brother, Bill Blatterman; and aunt, Alice Blatterman.

A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 12 noon on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Burial will take place at Town of Dunn Burying Ground. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Sunday.
