Obituary

MADISON - Joseph J. Mulholland, age 91, of Madison, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025. He was born on March 4, 1934, in Richland Center, Wis., the son of Joseph and Clara (Sittig) Mulholland.


Joseph married Priscilla Starr on October 3, 1959. He worked at Oscar Mayer for over 40 years and later worked with Don Miller for over 20 years. He served in the Army from 1955-1957.


Joseph was an avid sports fan, and he especially loved watching NASCAR.


Joseph is survived by his daughter, Joanne (Ben); and son, Jon (Crystal); grandchildren, Jennifer, Amanda (Jared), Heather, Dave and Ashley (Matt); many great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla; daughter, Sherry; son, Dave; parents, Clara and Joseph; granddaughter, Kaycee; and his siblings.


A private family burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens.

My condolences to the family. Worked with Joe at Don Miller and found out that he knew my Dad and grew up with him in Avoca. Great stories he shared with me about all my aunts and uncles and the rest of the people he went to school with in Avoca. Worked at Oscar’s when my dad was there too. I will really miss him.
