I send this with my deepest sadness, thoughts and prayers to Kathy, Patti, Teri, Dirt and Tone, as well as the rest of the Darwin family.
Jim wasn't always the loudest voice in the arena, on the sidelines, or in the dugout, but when he did have something to say it was delivered with purpose, direction and sincerity. He lived a lifetime of true service, dedication, and sacrifice, to most importantly his family, but also to the entire community of Monona which he loved so much and was such a genuinely humble part of.
He never needed a 'thank you' or an award for his coaching, his volunteering, or his dedication to family.
I will always remember his wry smile, the way he could give a backhanded compliment, and his ability to sometimes just say nothing at all. In today's World, more than ever, we need more people like Jim, that simply just walk the walk, instead of always trying to talk the talk!
Rest in peace, Jim, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for raising and fathering the people that I got to share so many amazing moments with.
