Judy M. Noyce

Obituary

MERRILL - Judy Marie Noyce, age 70, of Merrill, passed away holding the hand of her loving husband on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Aspirus Hospice House. She was born on February 3, 1955, in Rio, the daughter of D. Earl and M. Clementine (Welter) Pauls.

Judy graduated from La Follette High School in 1973.  She married Robert "Rob" Noyce on June 1, 1974, in Madison. Together they built a family and created many memories camping, boating and going to hockey tournaments. Judy was an excellent crafter and loved making wooden decorations most. Friends and family often enjoyed displaying her work every season or holiday throughout the year.

Judy touched many families’ lives through her years of being an in-home daycare provider. She was a proud owner of Noyce Paint, Paper, and Design for 30 years.

In 2020, Judy and Rob retired, moving to their dream home on Lake Alexander shortly after.  When Judy was not playing in her flower gardens, she could be found taking in all the sights and sounds the scenic lake and Northwoods had to offer. She enjoyed watching the deer, the many birds perched on her feeders, and an occasional bear strolling through the yard. She made friends with the local chippees, feeding them daily on the deck.

Her family will miss her guidance, her willingness to listen, quick wit, sense of humor, and retaliation to pranks most. She loved fiercely and was a true protector of her family.

Judy is survived by husband, Rob; daughters, Amanda (Matt) Grob and Akeeli (Matt) Noyce; son, Thomas (Kathleen) Noyce; granddaughters, Mikaya (Brock) and Bethenee; grandson, Oliver; great-grandson, Elliott; brother, Bruce (Lyn) Pauls; and sisters-in-law, Phyllis "Twink" Pauls and Rose Mary Pauls. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Clementine; and brothers, Patrick Pauls and Dennis Pauls.

A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 12 noon on Thursday August 28, 2025. A private burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.

I was saddended to hear of Judy's passing. She and I grew up together on Lori Circle in Madison. One memory I have is when her family invited me to join them on a camping weekend during the summer before 9th grade started. I was honored to be asked to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. Our most recent communication was via Facebook around the time of our 50th high school reunion in 2023. I was hoping I would see her, but she was unable to make it. She told me moving to Lake Alexander was "the best decision ever...Our lake view is awesome, beautiful sunsets, neighbors are great and the kids visit often." To her family and friends: my sincere condolences for the loss of your dear wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Sincerely, Linda Kazynski lindakazynski@comcast.net

My heart goes out to all of you, so sorry to hear this news. So many memories. Judy and I were best friends growing up on Lori Circle. She went with me to get my ears pierced (after my Dad said "NO"). She tucked me into her bed after I did a face plant coming down a ladder the wrong way from the loft in their garage and knocked myself out (to be fair, we were doing something we were not supposed to be doing, so I guess technically we both could have been in big trouble). We smoked our first cigarettes together (we both got sick), we went for Bucky Burgers at Rennebohms, We wrapped her Dad's silver Chrysler around a telephone pole coming home from East Towne one snowy night, and we chased boys (till she met Rob and was immediately head over heels in love) Rest easy my friend. I'll never forget you. My best to all of you, take care and let your own memories flood in when you need them.
