Obituary

MADISON - Doris Marie Korb, age 85, of Madison, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Heritage Monona. She was born on January 8, 1940, in Dodgeville, Wis., the daughter of Glenn and Lena (Guyer) Williams. She married Ralph Eugene Korb on August 16, 1958, in Dubuque, Iowa.


Doris loved working outdoors on her flower gardens, and adored all sorts of animals and pets, especially cats. She always liked a good meal and enjoyed her time out and about. She often enjoyed dinner and a beer with her son, Larry. Doris enjoyed going to casinos alongside her siblings, Donna and Howard, even going to Las Vegas with them. She also frequently went camping in Muscoda.


She is survived by her son, Larry (Karla) Korb; brother, Howard (Pat) Williams; and sister, Donna (David) Sebald. She was preceded in death by husband, Ralph; and parents, Lena and Glenn.


A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday August 25, 2025.  A burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dane County Humane Society. The family would like to thank Heritage Monona and Bristol Hospice for the care they provided Doris. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

My deepest sympathies to Doris's family for her loss. I didn't know her well, only in the dining room here at Heritage. She appeared to be in alot of pain in.her back.i hope she's our of pain now.i hope that you all are too. You are all in my prayers for the strength and courage you'll need during this difficult time.Coni Statz
