Nick Kramer

BROOKLYN - Nick Allen Kramer, age 43, of Brooklyn, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 9, 2025. He was born on May 28, 1982, in Prairie du Chien, the son of Duane Jr. and Peggy (Ronnfeldt) Kramer.

Nick graduated from Prairie Du Chien High School in 2000. While still in high school, Nick graduated from Southwest Technical College, receiving a degree in Masonry. He was an extremely talented mason and in 2000 he competed in the skills USA-VICA bricklaying competition, making it to nationals in St. Louis with an outstanding finish of 4th place. Nick was united in marriage to Jennifer (Stoneback) Kramer on March 23, 2002. Together they had three beautiful children.

Nick is survived by his wife, Jennifer; son, Austin (Maiya) Koberle-Kramer; daughters, Taylor Kramer and Lindsey Kramer; mother, Peggy; sister-in-law, Jessica (James) Grunder; uncles and aunts, Marilyn (Norm) Bulk and Rip Ronnfeldt; father-in-law, Dennis Stoneback; mother-in-law, Debra Stoneback; and many cousins, niece, nephew, great-nephew, and many friends.

During high school, Nick worked for Al and Gloria Morvits. Later, he was employed as a mason for Lorenz Masonry for over 20 years and at the same time alternated between working part-time and full-time for O’Brien Hybrids, also for 20 years. Most recently he was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Carousel Excavating.

Nick loved his three kids and was so proud of them, especially when it came to their successes in showing beef cattle in 4H and FFA. You would always hear him bragging about Austin being a better operator than him, Taylor going to school to be a nurse and Lindsey’s love for animals.

Nick always worked very hard to make sure his family had what they needed and wanted. When he wasn’t spending time with his kids, he would drive around with his wife, Jennifer and show her all of his masterpieces. When not working, he enjoyed going to tractor shows with his dad or his uncle, Rip, as well as going to auctions to expand his already large toy tractor collection. After his dad passed, he made sure his mom was taken care of and in good hands. He was always there to help anyone that needed it, no matter the circumstances.

He was preceded in death by his father, Duane; paternal grandparents, Darlene and Duane Kramer Sr.; maternal grandparents, Margaret and Bud Ronnfeldt; uncles, Dennis Kramer and Phil Kramer; and aunts, Tammy Martin and Dianne Ronnfeldt.

Nick is going to be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 18, 2025, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. as well as Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Services will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. There will also be a luncheon proceeding the services at an outside location. More details to follow.
