Glennda Lee Brandt

MIDDLETON - Glennda L. Brandt, age 80, of Dane, was called to her eternal home in heaven on Friday, August 1, 2025. She was born on July 14, 1945, in Madison, the daughter of Steven and Marion (Schlick) Carter. She was baptized in May 1946 and confirmed in the Christian faith in May 1959.

Glennda graduated from Black Earth High School in 1963. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1969. She married Leroy Brandt on October 2, 1965, at Eastside Lutheran Church in Madison. She worked as a medical technologist for the University of Wisconsin Hospital in the microbiology labs for over 40 years.

Glennda was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church for over 40 years and regularly attended Tuesday Growth Group. She had a passion for perennial and annual flower gardens, and she loved quilting and knitting. She was also an avid reader and would come from the library every week with a pile of books. One that never got old was the Bible, and Glennda passed away only hours after receiving Word and sacrament at church, trusting in Jesus' promise of eternal life for all who believe in him.

Glennda is survived by her husband, Leroy; son, Jeremy Brandt; and daughter-in-law, Susan Odeh-Brandt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Steven; son, Aaron Brandt; and parents-in-law, Dolores and Everett Brandt.

A memorial service will be held at ST. ANDREW LUTHERAN CHURCH, 6815 Schneider Road, Middleton, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, with Pastor Clinton Kreuziger presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
