Robert James Laughlin

Robert (Bob) Laughlin, 78, Albany, passed away August 1st at the Evansville Manor. Bob was born June 9, 1947 to Llewellyn and Margaret (Dawson) Laughlin in Poynette, Wi.

The family moved to Oregon in 1948 where Bob attended Oregon Schools. He was active in 4-H and FFA, and began his farming career prior to graduating from high school. In 1980, Bob bought a farm on Lincoln Road and farmed until selling it in 2004 but rented the land back until passing the reins to his son Jim in 2022.

Bob enjoyed riding his Harley trike, playing cards, especially Texas hold-em and favored John Deere equipment.

Survivors include his big sister Cynthia (Dave) Hubbard of Fort Collins, Co., sons Bill (Nichole) Albuquerque, NM; step-grandchildren Hannah, Bryce and Olivia Cooperrider and Jim (Dena) Albany, WI; grandchildren Anna and David, two nephews, a niece and his aunt Marcelline.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life is scheduled for October 4, 2025 at the Center Tavern in Albany, WI.
