Pete worked in sales at Sears for over 20 years where he sold lawn and garden equipment to most of Monroe County, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph; mother, Mary “Polly”; three brothers, Joseph, Edwin and Bob Staunton; and brother-in-law, David Pyle.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Alden Estates in Jefferson for all of their wonderful care and support given to Pete. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dane County Humane Society as Pete loved animals and pets. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Pete was such a Poet . He would write on every Birthday card or Christmas card where ever he found room to let you know how much he cared for you and loved you and was always funny and enjoyable to read. Pete was a great Dad and loved attending and helping out at all the events the kids were in. Especially Science Olympia. We are so proud of our kids Brandon and Brooke . Pete loved them dearly . I am so grateful I had the chance to talk to him and Thank him for all our memories and talks on the phone. But most of all for our children . Pete fly high and rest in peace. I will miss you everyday. I love you❤️🙏🏻. Susie
