I’m so sorry to hear this. I met all of you after losing my son to cancer. I joined Relay for Life and met your family. Your mom had the kindest heart and smile. I will never forget her support and love ❤️ Prayers and Love to all of you 🙏

Sherrill was the parent of John who was one of my kindergarten students many years ago. Sherrill not only helped in John’s class when she took time out of her busy life but she kept in touch with me long after John left Monona schools. She never forgot to send me a birthday card and Christmas card every year. Sherill will always be remembered by me as a warm kind friend. Sending love to the Slack family. Lennie Saffian

Sara, Ann and families,
I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Sherill. I had the pleasure of meeting Sherill when we both worked together in the late 80's and have stayed in touch ever since. She was the most wonderful person who will live on forever in all of you. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

When I married into the family in 1966, we moved to Madison, Wisconsin, Jerry and Sherill welcomed us with open arms. They eased our transition with kindness. Sherill included us in everything hosting weekly and monthly family dinners. She set a beautiful table and served adventurous meals. Her warmth and love for entertaining inspired me deeply. Over the years she remained a role model for my children as well. Her family meant everything to her, and she will be deeply missed
