Jackie L (Gibson) Scott, Beloved Mother, Grandma J, Loyal Friend, Thoughtful Soul, and Strong AF Survivor of all that life threw at her (until now).

LODI - Jackie Scott (nee Gibson), a sassy spirit born in Portage, WI on July 28, 1965, passed away peacefully at UW Hospital on April 20, 2026, surrounded by love. She lived a life of meaning-measured not in years, but in untold amounts of fun and adventure with lots of laughter and lots of tears.

With a big heart, Jackie lit up every room with her big eyes, beautiful smile, wit and warmth. Whether rallying friends with her contagious spirit or offering quiet comfort in moments that mattered, she had a way of making people feel seen and heard.

Jackie wore many hats-at one time managing 11 different companies under one beloved “boss/friend/father figure”, Reed Coleman. Jackie volunteered too much for her own good (she had a “Volanon” but Caryn had a big challenge and was not too successful). She began volunteering back in the 80s with her Gram for the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and helping bar tend at the VFW with Grandpa Collins. Both of which she loved immensely. She took on various roles at her children’s schools, and in their sports/events. She was a fierce advocate for the underdog, for joy and fun. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the memories she made, from spontaneous adventures to cozy conversations over cocktails or wine.

She is survived by the most precious beings, daughter Jillian Corbett (Thomas), son Jason Scott (Ashley) and her “Lovies” Claire and Hudson Scott, all of whom will forever carry her spirit forward. Her amazing sister, Anna Rogers (aka Tootie), two brothers, Kenneth and Michael Gibson. Blessed with many very much-loved friends and other family members including aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Jackie was predeceased in death by her parents, Dennis Gibson and Kathryn Collins Gibson, grandparents Francis and Frances Collins, Kenneth and Catherine Gibson. Two infant siblings and other relatives and friends.

In Jackie’s honor, we invite you to live each day with humor, sparkle, some bling, curiosity, and compassion that she so wished for all.

A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON LODI FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 157 S. Main St., Lodi, Friday, May 8, 2026, at 11 am. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 4 pm to 7 pm and again on Friday, from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Private family luncheon will follow service.
