Obituary
MARSHALL - Whendi Rose Schmidt, age 53, of Marshall, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, at home. She was born on February 19, 1972, in Madison, the daughter of Phillip and Dagmar (Pfeffer) Bouchard.
Whendi graduated from Monona Grove High School, class of 1990, where she was an avid member of the swim team. She received her degree in assistant information processing from MATC and worked at QBE as a payroll specialist.
Whendi loved spending time with her son, Bryce, and was the biggest fan of her dog, Squishy. She was a member of the Sun Prairie Burn Boot Camp, spending many early mornings with her friends. She will be fondly remembered for her love of all girl things and the color pink.
Whendi is survived by her son, Bryce Schmidt; parents, Phil and Dagmar; sister-in-law, Lynne (Michael) Borchard; and nephew, Kraig (Lyn Hill) Bouchard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chris Schmidt; son, Tristan Schmidt; brother, Michael Bouchard; sister, Michelle Bouchard; and grandparents.
A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, with a luncheon to follow. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. Friends are encouraged to wear bright colors or pink in honor of Whendi’s favorite color pink.
