Chris and family, I am so sorry for your loss. My mom and I often talked about our wonderful trip to Europe together until her passing last year, and how Earl never held it against me that I did so poorly in his class! I remember your joy during the trip of the birth of one of your grandchildren. It sounds like you had many such trips as well as a full life well lived together. Mr Lochner was one of few teachers that was kind enough to respect me. I was not an easy teenager, let alone student. He saw I was struggling, Not only with math but also with growing up. He was patient, kind, and offered encouragement. Respect. He respected me, as a person, and I respected him. Thank you for everything Mr Lochner. I made it. Life is good

RIP Earl.....had the honor to have Earl as my high school math teacher, my high school baseball coach and also a next door neighbor for about 4 years. He was a very calming person to be around, never got to excited. Chris and family we will miss him. Glad we stopped to see you 2 about a month ago..gave Earl a hug.. bless you and your family.
