Obituary
STOUGHTON - Robert “Bob” Voeck, age 75, of Stoughton, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Skaalen Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born on August 18, 1949, in Madison, the son of Donald and Kathryn (Littel) Voeck.
When Bob was a child, they moved from McFarland to the east side of Madison, where he grew up. Bob graduated from Madison East High School in 1967 and received his associate’s degree in electronics from Madison Area Technical College, Wisconsin School of Electronics. Bob worked at UW Hospital for 25 years in the Clinical Engineering Department as an Electronics Technician.
Bob met his lifelong sweetheart, Kathy, when he was a young boy and later married Kathy in 1971. Bob and Kathy traveled all around the world together with their three young boys, when Bob enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1971. Bob served in Mississippi, Minnesota, Turkey and Washington and was honorably discharged in 1978. They have very fond memories living in Turkey, bringing back some of their favorite sayings. Bob was known for his famous telephone greeting of “Merhaba Nasilsin,” and was also known for his wit and one-liners. He had a lot of hobbies, including fishing, hunting, camping, spending quality time with his grandchildren, working on electronics, and watching Fox News and Ancient Aliens. Bob also attended Hodag Country Music Festival for several decades with Kathy, longtime friends, and his eldest granddaughter, Krystal.
Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathleen “Kathy”; sons, Brian (Carrie Burns) Voeck, Brenton Voeck and James (Ana) Voeck; brother, Tom (Cyndi) Voeck; grandchildren, Krystal (Jake), Cody (Avorie), Andryk, Carmen, Wesley and Sophia; great-grandchildren, Jayce, Greyson and Asher; and many nieces and nephews.
