BROOKLYN - Elena Katherine Weiner, age 5, of Brooklyn, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at American Family Children's Hospital, after battling a rare form of cancer. She was born on August 6, 2019, in Madison, the daughter of Daniel and Sarah (Motley) Weiner.
Elena was a happy, sweet, intelligent child. She adored animals, especially puppies, kitties, and unicorns, and she was a big fan of rainbows. She loved playing Minecraft with skill and creativity, and would build huge, wonderful worlds to explore. She was a joy to everyone she met and made friends everywhere.
Elena smiled through everything she went through and never stopped fighting. She was always so strong and brave, and she will be deeply missed.
Elena is survived by her parents, Sarah and Daniel; maternal grandparents, Dottie and Charles Motley; paternal grandparents, Judy and Frank Weiner; uncle, Josh (Sarah Gotwals) Weiner; and aunt, Madeline (Tyler Freitas) Motley.
