Obituary

MADISON - Linda Leisen (Stearns), age 73, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 30, 2025. Born on July 26, 1951, in Madison, Wis., Linda was a lifelong Wisconsinite known for her warmth, resilience, and deep love for her family. She graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1969 and spent her life bringing joy to others through her kindness and service.


A loving sister, devoted mother and proud grandmother, Linda's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her three children, Tracy Leisen, Robert Leisen and Melissa Dougherty; a cherished son-in-law, Sebahedin "Dino" Hasani; five beloved grandchildren, Justin, Sergen, Haiden, La-Donte and Adyson; and her two loving brothers, Rick Stearns and Michael Stearns. She was also a cherished aunt to countless nieces and nephews and a dear friend to many. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Connor; her parents, Edith and James Stearns; her sister, Pam; her brothers, Jamie and Jay; and her grandparents.


Linda was a dedicated server at Monona Gardens for over 10 years, where she was known for her warm smile, strong work ethic, and the care she showed to everyone who walked through the door. She will be remembered for her infectious smile, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to the people she loved. Her legacy lives on in her family, friends, and all those who had the blessing of knowing her. She will be deeply missed.

I worked with Linda in the 70’s as waitress at a truck stop. She could work circles around everyone. Her & Mike lost a baby the same time Bob & I did (Kvalheim) I remember her fondly.
