Margaret M. O'Dette
November 14, 1958 - May 17, 2025
Obituary
LODI - Margaret M. ”Pete” O’Dette, age 66, of Lodi, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
She was born on November 14, 1958, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Walter and Margaret (Middono) O’Dette.
Pete enjoyed a variety of interests, including playing billiards/pool, swimming, watching her boys play baseball, taking pictures on her disposable cameras, cooking her famous fried chicken and chicken noodle soup, and occasionally she enjoyed a few Miller High Life’s, but most importantly she loved spending time with her family and spoiling her boys, nieces and nephews!
Pete, or Nana to her grandkids, was a loving and caring person with a little bit of piss and vinegar about her, as she would say! She wanted nothing more than to be the best Nana and mom she could be, and although at times she might have thought she fell short, we all knew better. Her unconditional love, support, and unforgettable spirit left a mark on everyone lucky enough to know her. She will be remembered for her quick wit, her warm hugs, the happy birthday videos she sent out, and the way she made every moment feel special (with her disposable camera).
Survivors include her son, Thomas (Cheryl) Stricklin Sr.; her sister, Michele (David Feulner) Perry; her father-in-law, Len Adamec; two grandchildren, Tommy (Belo) and Daniel (Monkey Butt) Stricklin; nieces, Courtney Lundquist and Kayla Feulner; nephews, Steve (Shelly Duessler) Perry, Jays (Amy) Perry, Cory (Whisper) Lundquist; and many great nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Adamec; her parents; her sisters, Marlene Koski and Kathleen Kittinger; and her cats, Columbus (Lumby) and Junior (Juney).
In honor of Margaret’s wishes, no formal services will be held, but a celebration of her life will be planned for a later date.
Memorials may be made to The Ronald McDonald House.
