Obituary
MADISON - Mary L. (Mockrud) Pierce, age 83, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026. She was born on June 14, 1942, in Viroqua, Wis., the daughter of Stanley and Nora (Noringseth) Mockrud.
Mary graduated from Madison East High School in 1960. She married Joseph Dale Pierce on November 13, 1981, in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Mary worked as a financial assistant for The Pleasant Company for many years.
Mary is survived by her sisters, Annette Carlson and Karen Manion; and brother, Roald Mockrud. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Dale Pierce; daughters, Anne Jones and Amy Ghering; parents, Nora and Stanley; sisters, Nola, Nancy, Solveig and Kathryn; and brother, Karl.
