Obituary

LODI/PRAIRIE DU SAC, WI - With great sadness, we announce the passing of Doris Jane Rodenschmit, on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Agrace HospiceCare.

She was born at St. Mary's Hospital on May 1, 1945, in Madison, WI, the daughter of Harry and Mildred (Romare) Bavery.

"Jane” was a 1963 graduate of Oregon High School.  On October 5, 1968, she married the love of her life, Mike Rodenschmit.

Together they were blessed with four wonderful children, David (Rhonda), Dan (Velvet), Brenda (Ray) Annen, and Brad (Heather); seven grandchildren, Roman (Brea), Danny (Aubrie Anna), Erica (Max), Peyton, Presley, Lyla, and Tanner; two great-grandchildren, RJ and Jovie; two sisters, Judy Schulz and Joyce Fredenberg; and other relatives and many friends.

Jane was employed with the Lodi Clinic as a receptionist until her retirement.

Jane was a very sincere and generous person who cherished the many friendships she had made. She had a variety of interests including card games, especially Euchre, but loved spending time with her family most.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Earl Anderson; sister, Donna (Bernard) Kavanagh; three brothers, Don Goodwin, Duane Goodwin, and Darrel Goodwin; brothers-in-law, Phil Rodenschmit, Curt Schulz and Art Fredenberg.

A gathering celebrating Jane's life will be held at GUNDERSON LODI FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 157 S. Maine St., Lodi, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Monday, May 12, 2025, with sharing of memories at 11:30 am.  A private burial will be held at Garden Bluff Cemetery.

The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Agrace Hospice for their sincere, compassionate care.

I remember her so well, as we worked at St Mary's Hospital in the Delivery rooms. It was always good to have her on our shift. I'm sure that work ethic continued for the rest of her life. My sympathy to Mike and the family on the loss of this dear woman.~~Michel McGettigan
