Obituary
MADISON - Caleb Andrew Meshnick passed away in his parents’ loving arms on April 24, 2025. He was just shy of three months old. Born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), he spent his life at the children’s hospital until God brought him home. He won the affection of his hospital team with his strong spirit, sweet face, and inquisitive eyes. He endured many challenges and fought hard every single day. Caleb enjoyed frequent head massages, holding hands, gazing at his toy bird (“bird watching”), and his mama’s singing. He is now fully healed in the presence of God.
Caleb is survived by his parents, Andrew and Emily Meshnick; siblings, Levi and Madeline Meshnick; grandparents, Mark and Kathy Meshnick, and grandparents, Paul and Mary Ott; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A special thank you to the staff at the American Family Children’s Hospital for their attentive and tender care.
A private funeral service will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, with pastor Nate Hobert officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the UW Health American Family Children’s Hospital or The Children’s Heart Foundation.
