Lynn Mary Replogle

April 01, 1947 - April 25, 2025

Obituary

Whenever I am troubled and lost in deep despair,

I bundle all my troubles up and go to God in prayer…

I tell Him I am heartsick and lost and lonely, too,

That my mind is deeply burdened and I don’t know what to do…

But I know He stilled the tempest and calmed the angry sea

And I humbly ask if in His love He’ll do the same for me…

And then I just KEEP QUIET and think only thoughts of PEACE

And if I abide in STILLNESS my “restless murmurings” cease.

MADISON - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lynn Mary Replogle, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, who was called home on April 25, 2025.

Lynn was born on April 1, 1947, to Edward and Elizabeth (Schlichting) Kropp in Racine, Wis. After graduating from St. Cathrine’s High School in Racine, Wis., Lynn went on to cosmetology school and spent her early years as a beautician. She married Robert A. Replogle on August 6, 1966.

Lynn and Bob raised their sons Dan and Scott in Madison, Wis. Lynn became active with breeding and showing Lhasa Apsos early in her marriage, and it was her lifelong passion. She was a member of the American Lhasa Apso Club and was on the Futurity/Maturity Committee.

Aside from being a beautician, Lynn spent most of her career as a special education aide for the Madison Metropolitan School District. After her retirement, she worked at the McFarland Animal Vet Clinic and Costco.

Lynn was extremely energetic and was always busy with numerous hobbies. Aside from hunting and fishing, she was very artistic. Her home was always the center of warmth and hospitality during the holidays, and her garden was always abundant with vegetables which she would can and share with family and friends. Her backyard was a sanctuary with apple and peach trees, raspberries, grapes, currants and mulberries. Her living room was full of orchids that always had at least one in full bloom year-round. Christmastime held a long-time tradition of (too many) cookies and baklava, and Easter had a display of assorted kolache.

Lynn is survived by her sons, Daniel and Scott (Corrine) Replogle; and her sister, Gwen. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Charla (Tay) and Seth (Cierra). Lynn was also loved by nieces, Katie (Mark), Heidi (Sam) and Sarah; nephews, Ben and Michael; and other relatives, Ruger and Sadie.

Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; parents, Eddie ad Betty Kropp; Gwen’s husband, Bob Lee; brother, John Kropp; and sister-in-law, Jancy Kropp

I’d like to remind all that Lynn was deeply loved by many, many special education students that she shepherded through the elementary school years. Almost always she was their best friend for the years when they were in her charge. They looked to her for guidance, understanding, stability, fun, friendship and love. Frank Allis Elementary owes her a deep debt of gratitude! The entire school ran more smoothly because of her compassion and presence. I was so lucky to work with her! Jenny Villwock

Lynn and her family lived next door to my parents since I was a young child. My parents thought the world of her and would often help out with lawn work and snow removal. My father passed in 2021 and Lynn made cookies, bars and assortments of goodies for his visitation. I will always remember her very kind and generous gesture. I also know my mother enjoyed the many converations they had over the years. May Lynn rest in peace. Julie Ann Drake

Hello Family and Friend's: Lynn and I worked together for many year's at Frank Allis Elementary School in Madison WI. She was a joy to have in Art class working with our Special Ed Student's as a SEA. Lynn was a very gifted Artist as well, so she really knew how to bring out the best in our Students during Art class. I so appreciated her calming affect on on student's. Lynn kept our kids focused on their Artwork and would hold Student's accountable in a good way making her a asset in our classroom's. Lynn and I shared other mutual interest's outside the classroom. We both grew up in Families that had active participation in outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, taxidermy, gardening, dog's, and creating Art. I miss talking to Lynn and seeing her at school and at staff get together's. I am sad to hear of Lynn's passing and am offering my sincere condolences to Family and Friend's for your loss, and our's. Peace be with you !
