Ronald H. Leibfried

MADISON - Ronald Henry Leibfried, age 77, of Madison, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, at home. He was born on February 9, 1948, in Platteville, the son of Henry and Iola (Johns) Leibfried.

Ronald graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1967. He was united in marriage to Barbara (Burrington) on March 24, 1973, in Madison. He worked as a furniture salesman, originally for Leath and later for Slumberland in Janesville, retiring in 2015. He enjoyed volunteering his time at the St. Vincent Food Pantry and doing readings at church.

Ronald loved being outdoors, gardening and fishing and cheering on the Brewers and the Bears. He adored husky dogs.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Jason; sister, Myrna (Bill) Kubly; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Iola and Henry.

A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12 noon until the time of the service on Tuesday.
