Obituary

DEERFIELD - Daniel G. Lampman, age 77, of Deerfield, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025. He was born on January 9, 1948, in Madison, the son of Orlin and Dorothy (Ostrander) Lampman.


Daniel graduated from Deerfield High School in 1966. He married Kathleen Kvitek and they were blessed with 55 years together.


Daniel proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for nearly 20 years, where he was stationed in Alaska, Belgium, South Korea and other bases around the United States. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post No. 7591. Later, he worked as a truck driver for Gullickson Trucking Company, in Deerfield, retiring after almost 30 years.


Daniel loved living in his childhood home and keeping busy with various projects around the house. He enjoyed listening to Elvis and Johnny Cash. Daniel loved spending time with his family and was known for his frequent reminders to check the oil in your car with his kids and grandkids.


Daniel will be missed by his wife, Kathleen; daughters, Christine Rotondo and Valerie (Jules Chatelain) Croft; six grandchildren, Sydney (Gage) Bluel, Hannah (Henry Shiao) Rotondo, Angelina Rotondo, Casey Rotondo, Trevor Armijo and Mariska Armijo; brother, Stephen (Nancy) Lampman; brother-in-law, Howard McAllister; niece, Julie McElhinny; special friends, Lee and Cindy Haerterich; and other extended family members and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Orlin; brothers, Donald, Irvin and David Lampman; and sisters, Dorothy (Tom) Coenen, Phillis McAllister and Kathleen (Bobby) Schumacher.


Private family services will be held.
