BEAVER DAM - Julie Ann Anderson, age 61, of Beaver Dam, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Waupun Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 28, 1963, in Madison, the daughter of Bernard and Diana Spink
Julie graduated from La Follette High School in 1982. She worked in the carnival for a few years where she met Brett Anderson and got married on December 10, 1988. She worked at the UW Madison campus and for the Madison public school district, and she made many friends selling Tupperware during these years.
As her children entered their teens, Julie continued to work in food service and bartending until she started her own consignment shop in the Madison area. Later in life she did different tasks and mystery shops.
Julie loved spending time with her family and grandkids. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping, watching movies and playing board games. She had a heart of gold and helped out anyone that she could. She was known to make sure you were well fed and made sure everyone in her life felt welcome. She had a huge heart for all animals, having many throughout her life. She loved to travel and see different places. Watching Christmas movies and the Hallmark channel were her favorite.
Julie is survived by her sons, Cody Anderson and Dustin Anderson; daughters, Alyssa (Lance Holbrook) Anderson and Brittany (Kierre Elvord) Anderson; seven grandchildren, Aaliyah, Brianna, Markwone, Callie, Raidan, Royce and Dakota; father, Bernard Spink; and sister, Donna (Tim) Stephens of Texas; as well as extended family, Joshua Breister and Thomas Borka. She was preceded in death by her mother, Diana Spink; her stepmother, Barbara Spink; many aunts and uncles; and her beloved Blue Heeler, Bella.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, with the Rev. Jerry Amstutz presiding. Family and friends who wish to view the service via LIVESTREAM may visit Julie’s obituary page at www.gundersonfh.com at the time of the service and click on Watch Now in the Webcast section. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, and also from 12 noon until the time of the service on Wednesday. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Auburndale at a later date.
