Growing up two doors down from Jim in Oregon, I couldn’t have asked for a better neighbor or role model. Jim was always quick to lend a hand—whether it was helping with yard work, offering tools, or just sharing some friendly advice on whatever DIY project I was tackling (often a bit over my head). His quiet generosity and easygoing nature made him a true pillar of the neighborhood. I have vivid memories from my younger days—like the time I backed his truck into his boat trying to figure out a clutch. Any other adult might have lost their cool, but not Jim. He showed nothing but patience and kindness, time and time again. As I grew older, Jim and Lyn remained friends to our whole family. We’d spend hours just chatting, often about whatever project he had going on next—always something creative and hands-on. Even as we were preparing to move away, Jim still found ways to help—never hesitating to jump in when he saw me struggling with something solo down the block. That’s just who he was. Steady, kind, and always thinking of others. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered with gratitude and warmth. With love and respect, Joe from two doors down

Jim was a great man. I always enjoyed golfing with him and chatting golf when we were around one another. His love and compassion for his family was beyond, and he will be greatly missed. Best of wishes for the family and friends.

Dear Jim, you have been one of my favorite guy friends. You always have taken care of your family and my friend Lyn. You will be so missed but not forgotten. Thanks for the Apple Pie on your patio, my friend.
